A mixture is made up of two or more pure substances that retain their individual properties.
The components that make up a mixture are not chemically combined.
For example, lemon juice is a mixture of lemon extract, sugar and water, etc.
There are two types of mixtures:
Homogeneous mixture:
In this type of mixture, the components are mixed so well with each other that we can not differentiate one from the other either by particle size or color.
For example, lemon juice.
Heterogeneous mixture:
In this type of mixture, the particles can be differentiated either by the color, size, or shape of the components.
For example, chalk powder and water, oil and water.
