Solution

Phycomycetes:

  1. On decaying wood, in moist, humid environments, and as obligatory parasites on plants, phycomycetes are common.
  2. They're referred to as algal fungi. The mycelium is septate and coenocytic.
  3. Examples of this include Mucor, Rhizopus (bread mould), and Albugo (the mustard parasitic fungi).
  4. There is no cell wall around the cells in the Phycomycetes class of fungi, which has aseptate hyphae.
  5. This class of species can be found on plants as obligatory parasites, in moist rotting wood, on damp surfaces, and in watery settings.
  6. Both asexual and sexual reproduction are possible in Phycomycetes.
  7. Spores are produced in asexual organisms.
  8. Lower Fungi is another name for Phycomycetes.
