A colour which cannot be obtained by mixing other colours is said to be a primary colour.Red, Green and Blue are primary colours because:-

  1. They can be combined to obtain all other colours.
  2. They cannot be obtained by combining all other colours.
  3. All the colours combine to give white colour.
