Saturated solutions

  • A saturated solution is a solution in which no more solute can be dissolved and it contains the maximum amount of solute that can be dissolved.
  • An example of saturated solutions is Carbonated water.

Unsaturated solutions

  • A solution that contains a solute lesser than the maximum amount of solute that is capable of being dissolved is known as an unsaturated solution.
  • An example of an unsaturated solution is Sodium chloride in water.
