A personality disorder is a mental illness in which you have a fixed and unhealthy way of thinking, functioning, and acting.

4 personality disorders:

  1. Antisocial personality disorder: It is a mental condition in which a person continuously disregards right and wrong, as well as other people's rights and feelings.
  2. A borderline personality disorder is a psychiatric condition in which a person is unable to keep his/her emotions in check. Increased impulsivity, a shift in how a person feels about themselves, and deterioration in interpersonal connections can all result from a loss of emotional control.
  3. Histrionic personality disorder: A person with a histrionic personality disorder who is emotionally unstable has a distorted sense of self and has a strong desire to be noticed.
  4. A person with a narcissistic personality disorder has an exaggerated concept of self, a strong craving for excessive attention and praise, troubled relationships, and a lack of empathy for others.
