Fertilisers are rich in particular nutrients. Hence any soil deficiency in a particular nutrient can be rectified. The yield of crops also becomes better. But excessive use of fertilisers makes soil less fertile. Further, fertilisers are a source of water pollution, as they leach into the soil
The main difference between both is that manure is a natural or an organic substance obtained by the decomposition of plant and animal wastes.whereas fertilisers are inorganic salts. Fertilisers do not provide any humus to the soil. However, it is rich in plant nutrients like potassium, nitrogen and phosphorous It is quickly absorbed by the plants.
