Buddhism has made immense contribution to the Indian culture:

a. It has played a significant role in influencing India' philosophy , culture, architecture , sculpture, paintings in India.

b. Buddhist rock carvings and inscriptions have been found mainly following the old routes of trade and pilgrimage along the Indus. Inscriptions have been found on the Buddhist monuments in Sanchi and Bharhut in Madhya Pradesh .

c. It has contributed in the field of language and literature.

d. Teachings of Buddha created an impact on the people in promoting the values of simplicity, ahimsa , kindness.
