what are the different factors on which the cropping pattern of our country depends

Dear Student ,

Successful crop production depends on various factors which are basically of two types -
1. Internal Factors
2. External factors

INTERNAL FACTORS INCLUDE -
Quality of seeds:- Genetic material or Heredity
For Ex - High Yielding ability , Tolerance and Resistance to Pests, Draughts etc

EXTERNAL FACTORS INCLUDE -
(a) Climatic factors like Temperature , Wind energy , Atmosphere etc.
(b) Economic factors like profit margin, highly sold crops, cost of seeds and availability of seeds.
(c) Edaphic factors - Soil Degradation , Humidity , Soil pH and Minerals etc
(d) Technical factors- Availability of land, govt.schemes and subsidies, abundance of labourers and wages.
