  1. It regulates various areas of crop production to get the best possible yield.
  2. The economical conditions of farmers are not uniform throughout the country and due to different conditions of climate and terrains, different agricultural practices are followed.

Practices that are involved in crop production management:

  1. Nutrient management - to improve productivity, using crop nutrients as efficiently as possible while protecting the environment.
  2. Irrigation - it helps in growing agricultural crops and rejuvenating the disturbed soil because of average rainfall.
  3. Cropping patterns - help improve soil fertility which ultimately increases in production of crops and also helps to ensure crop protection.
  4. Crop rotation - in recurrent succession, different kinds of crops are grown on different land adding various economic and environmental advantages and also helping in the management of the quality of soil and farms.
