Different stages involved in farming practices:

  1. Improvement in agricultural productivity is possible by implementing sustainable agricultural practices.
  2. These farming or agricultural practices can be divided into three stages which are:
  1. Crop variety improvement-It involves methods adopted to modify plants genetically for a better yield.
  2. Crop production management-It regulates various areas of crop production like nutrient management, irrigation, cropping patterns, and crop rotation to get the best possible yield.
  3. Crop protection management-It involves mechanical, chemical, cultural, and biological methods to control weeds, insects, and various diseases of plants.
