What are the different types of water resources?

Water can be obtained from the following two types of resources-

1. Freshwater resources - Ponds, lakes, and big rivers are examples of freshwater resources. It is recyclable. It is necessary for human life and the survival of a significant number of terrestrial organisms. Freshwater is majorly obtained from natural sources like rainwater, surface water, and groundwater
2. Saltwater resources - They have a high quantity of dissolved salt making it unsuitable for consumption. Oceans, seas, and other bodies of water are examples of saltwater resources.
