Registrar of Companies, India. The Registrar of Companies (ROC) is an office under the Indian Ministry of Corporate Affairs that deals with administration of the Companies Act 1956 and Companies Act, 2013. There are currently 22 Registrars of Companies (ROC) operating from offices in all major states of India.Completes regulation and reporting of companies and their shareholders and directors and also administers government reporting of several matters which includes the annual filing of numerous documents.The Registrar of Companies plays an essential role in fostering and facilitating business culture.
Duties - The registrar of companies (ROC) plays a pivotal role in facilitating and promoting a business. It is impossible for a company to conduct business if it has not been issued a certificate from the registrar of companies. The registrar provides a certificate which acts as a lifelong proof of existence of the company.
