- In many industries, proper safety measures are not taken, and industrial accidents are very common which led to serious injuries or even death of these migrant workers. Because these workers are employed in the unorganized sector, there is no provision of healthcare, family care, and other benefits which are given to organized sector workers.
- When we talk about women migrants, as they are also majorly employed in an unorganized sector, there is no maternity leave for women, and they are expected to continue work just after childbirth.
- Women migrants are under the dual burden of working long hours as well as taking care of young ones and elderly people in the family.
- Also, when the elders of the family are out at work, the girl child has to take responsibility for taking care of the young ones add also doing the household chores.
