Tendons :

  1. The tendons are dense white fibrous connective tissues that possess strength and limited elasticity with more matrix.
  2. The tendons consist of parallel bundles of collagen fibers with rows of flat fibroblasts between them.
  3. These fibroblasts are called tendinocytes.

Functions of Tendons :

  1. It joins a skeletal muscle to a bone.
  2. It helps the bone to move when the muscle is contracted and relaxed.
