What are the measurable properties of gases?
There are four measurable properties of gases:
1. Mass: Gases have definite masses. It can be expressed in grams or moles.
2. Volume: It is measurably occupied by a gas equal to the container’s volume. It can be expressed in mL or cc and dm3 or L.
3. Temperature: It is defined as the degree of hotness or coldness. Three scales are used to measure temperature: degrees Celsius, Fahrenheit, and Kelvin.
4. Pressure: Force exerted by the gas per unit area on the walls of a container is called Pressure. It can be expressed in mm of Hg, cm of Hg, Atmosphere, or Kpa.
