Blastocyst :

  1. The hollow cell mass formed during early development consists of the cells that forms the trophic epidermis, the inner cell mass, and the fluid-filled cavity is known as the blastocyst.
  2. It forms in a process called blasting about 514 days after fertilization.

Two types of cells found in a blastocyst:

  1. The trophoblast layer of blastocyst attaches to the endometrium.
  2. The inner cell mass of the blastocyst develops into the embryo and gives rise to fetal tissue.
