What are the various types of motion? Give examples for each.

Motion can be categorised into following types -

1) Translational motion - Motion in which a body shifts from one point in space to another.
E.g., the motion of a car on a straight road

2) Oscillatory motion - To and fro motion about a mean position.
E.g., the motion of pendulum of a wall clock

3) Circular motion - Motion of an object along the circumference of a circle.
E.g., the motion of the moon around the earth.
