Starch becomes Maltose by the action of salivary amylase.
Proteins, proteases and peptones (partially hydrolysed proteins) in the chyme reaching the intestine are acted upon by the proteolytic enzymes of pancreatic juice and becomes dipeptides.
Carbohydrates are digested and converted into monosaccharides like glucose.
Proteins broken down to aminoacids
Fats are broken down to fatty acids and glycerol
Nucleases in the pancreatic juice acts on nucleic acids to form nucleotides and nucleosides.
