What can modify DNA molecules?

DNA modification:
Any change in DNA sequence or its structure is referred as DNA modification.
Several enzymes which are capable of doing this modifications.
DNA ligase:
Ligase is an enzyme which joins together the Okazaki fragments of the discontinuous DNA strands.
Alkaline phosphatase: It is responsible for removing phosphate group from the 5' terminal of the DNA strand.
Polynucleotide kinase: Responsible for adding phosphate group at the 5' terminal of the DNA strand.
Terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase: At 3' end of the DNA molecule, this enzyme causes addition of deoxyribonucleotides.
