Question

What can we observe when H2 gas is bubbled into soap solution?

Open in App
Solution

Bubbling of hydrogen gas in soap solution:

  • When H2(Hydrogen) gas is bubbled into a soap solution, we can observe that, it doesn't get dissolved in it but the solution will easily form bubbles containing H2 gas.
  • Since H2 gas is lighter in density than soap solution, its bubbles will start to float on soap solution.

Therefore, when H2 gas is bubbled into soap solution we can observe the formation of bubbles containing Hydrogen gas.
