Open in App
Solution

Destruction of forests causes desertification. Due to deforestation, the soil, which is tightly held by the roots, loosens and get easily carried away by the winds. As a result, the top soil which is rich in humus and other nutrients, get eroded by the wind causing the loss of fertility in the soil, which in course of time leads to desertification.
