Gas pressure is defined as the pressure exerted by the molecules of gas. It is defined as the force per unit area of the gas.
When gas molecules collide with each other and with the wall of the container, they start gaining momentum and start exerting force.
The pressure is also generated when the gas molecules interact with each other.
The pressure is used in doing the work.
Factors affecting the Gas pressure
Increase the quantity of gas- If the quantity of gas is increased, the collision will be more and the pressure will also increase.
Decrease the volume- If we decrease the volume of the container then the molecules of gas have less space due to which collision increase and the pressure will also increase.
Increase in temperature- If we increase the temperature, the kinetic energy increase due to which collision increase, and ultimately the pressure will also increase.
