Some changes that took place because of this act were:
Elections Of Indians were legitimised to the various legislative councils .It took place for the first time.
As per this act Muslims were given right of separate electorate.
It was governor general who was given the charge and power to nominate one Indian member to his Executive Council.
The number of the nominated and elected members of the Legislative Council was increased at the Center from 16 to 60, excluding ex officio members
