Gandhiji wanted Mrs. Pandit to make her peace with her relatives before leaving for the foreign country. Mrs. Pandit replied that she hadn't quarreled with anyone but refused to have anything to do with those who take advantage of an outworn law to create a difficult and humiliating situation for her.
