Solution

Respiration:

  1. Respiration is one of the very important processes in the human body to live.
  2. Respiration is the process where oxygen is taken inside the body from the air along with several other gases like nitrogen and carbon dioxide is released from the body.
  3. When humans inhale air into the lungs, it facilitates the diffusion of oxygen into the blood.
  4. The inhaled air thus reaches the lungs and enters the alveoli where oxygen diffuses out from the alveoli into the blood, which enters the lungs via pulmonary capillaries, and carbon dioxide diffuses into the alveoli from the blood.
  5. After performing certain functions, cells release carbon dioxide as a waste product.
