Question

What do we do to the leather materials infected by fungus or mould?

Solution

Mould is a little different. Because leather is “"water proof” it can promote mould growth. You can wipe away with warm dilute soapy water. Worked for me. Look at where you are storing your leather as it seems it may be storage conditions. Also, try and keep your leather items separate from each other to minimise cross contamination.

In case of leather products: There are lots of anti-fungal cream available in the market. Ask any leather chemical supplier for the same. . Use a smaller quality of the cream and apply it on the leather grain surface using cotton cloth.

In case of finished leather: Use the above same method to clean the products. Also, spray the warehouse/ storage area with anti-fungal sprays.
