What do you mean by a parallel beam of light?

Drawing the diagram of the situation:

  1. A bundle of light rays collectively is called a Beam of light.
  2. Because light travels in a straight line and it is better to represent it with the help of a ray.
  3. When Rays from a distant point source travel parallel to each other in a particular direction, it forms a parallel Light Beam.

Hence, when a large number of rays i.e beam moving parallel to each other is called a parallel beam of light.
