Opaque object: Object that does not allow any light rays to pass through it. We cannot see through them. Example: Wall, notebook.​


Transparent object: Object that allows all the light rays to pass through it. Example: Air, glass.​


Translucent object: Object that allows only some light rays to pass through it. Example: Wax paper, dusty windows.​
