RNA Interference:

1. RNA interference was discovered by Andrew Z. Fire and Craig C. Mello.
2. The process in which the gene expression is inhibited by RNA molecules by neutralizing the targeted mRNA molecules is known as RNA interference.
3. RNA interference limits the level of transcript in two ways i.e. suppressing transcription and degrading the produced RNA.
4. It is used in silencing various harmful genes and in creating new drug therapies.
