Solution
Solution: The homogenous mixture obtained by mixing two or more substances is called a Solution. There are two components in a solution i.e. Solute and solvent.
Solute: The substance which is dissolved in another substance is called a solute. For example in sugar solution- sugar is solute.
Solvent: The substance in which solute is dissolved is known as a solvent. For example in sugar solution- water is the solvent.
The component lesser in quantity is known as solute and more in quantity is known as a solvent in a solution.
Saturated solution: The solution in which no further solute can be dissolved i.e., it contains the maximum amount of solute is called a saturated solution.
For example: If sugar is dissolved in a glass of water and more sugar is added again and again. Then after some additions no more sugar can be dissolved, at that point solution is said to be saturated.
