What happens if salivary ducts are closed?

Salivary ducts help in secretion of saliva which contain enzyme called salivary amylase that help is digestion of starch, water, electrolytes and certain antimicrobial agents like IgA and lysozyme that helps in protection.
If salivary ducts are closed then it will lead to absence of saliva in mouth that will lead to following consequences:
a) Cannot judge the taste of food.
b) Absence of mastication process.
c) No carbohydrate digestion which results in lack of energy in the body
d) Body will suffer with disorders related to deficiency and ultimately die.
