Solution

Cytoskeleton: It is the framework that keeps the cell's shape and internal organisation and provides mechanical support.

A cytoskeleton structure is made up of the following types of fibres:

  1. Microfilaments
  2. Microtubules
  3. Filaments in the middle

Damage to the cytoskeleton:

  1. Causes a variety of diseases, including cancer.
  2. Neurodegenerative illnesses are frequently accompanied by cytoskeleton defects.
  3. Flagella and cilia are made of the cytoskeleton, and any cytoskeleton abnormality will result in uncoordinated movement of cilia and flagella, resulting in respiratory tract infection and infertility.
