Kneaded dough or flour will turn sour and will not be suitable for consumption if left in the open for a long time due to the growth of fungi on it.
Fungi will grow on kneaded dough or flour if left outside for a long time. That is because warm and moist conditions such as the kneaded dough act as ambient conditions for the growth of fungi.
