The excess secretion of thyroxine by thyroid gland causes hyperthyroidism.The symptoms of hyperthyroidism are: Being restless, nervous, emotional, irritable, sleeping poorly, Losing weight despite an increased appetite Sweating, Diarrhoea , Shortness of breath. Menstrual changes. A swelling of your thyroid gland (goitre) in the neck may occur.

Hypothyroidism is the condition in which the thyroid gland is not able to produce thyroid hormone due to deficiency of Iodine. Common symptoms of hypothyroidism:-

  • Feeling tired or weak,
  • constipation,
  • abnormal skin etc.
