Solution
Reproductive cycle:
The reproductive cycle is a series of changes in hormone production and the structure of the uterus and ovaries of the female reproductive system that allows pregnancy to occur.
The ovarian cycle regulates egg release and production, as well as the cyclic release of progesterone and estrogen.
The uterine cycle oversees the development and maintenance of the uterine (womb) lining in preparation for the arrival of a fertilized egg.
Regenerative phase:
The stratum basale regenerates the endometrium during the regenerative phase, which lasts from the fourth to the sixth day of the cycle.
The epithelial lining of the denuded mucous membrane is completed by the proliferation of the epithelial lining of the gland fundi.
The epithelium achieves a thickness of 2 mm and is flat after this phase.
The endometrial glands are small and straight. Lymphocytes and spindle-shaped connective tissue cells are seen in the endometrial stroma.
