The euphotic zone receives the most amount of light and it is also called the sunlit zone. It has a temperature upto 30 degree celsius.

The bathyal zone is dimly lit and is also called the twilight zone. It has a temperature of around 4 degree celsius.

The abyssal zone is dark and receives very less or no sunlight. Hence it is also called the dark zone. The temperature in this zone ranges between 2 - 3 degree celsius.
