Solution

Xylem:

  1. In xylem tissue, certain structures called tyloses are formed, which obstruct the flow of water when the plant or tree gets injured.
  2. As a result of deficiency of water for a long time, the shoot system of the plant gets dried up, and the plant may die if the situation persists for a long period.
