Glycogenesis is the process of glycogen synthesis, in which glucose molecules are added to the glycogen chain for storage.
This process is activated during rest by the Cori cycle, in the liver, and is also activated by insulin in response to high blood glucose levels.
Hormone stimulating glycogenesis:
The hormone that stimulates glycogenesis is insulin, in response to high blood glucose levels.
Glycogenesis is the process by which excess glucose molecules are added to the glycogen chain so that they can be stored ready for use at a later date.
