ETC:

1. Electron Transport Chain (ETC) is a series of compounds where it makes use of electrons from electron carrier to develop a chemical gradient.
2. Any compound that leads to an inhibition in the functioning of any of the electron carriers leads to an inhibition of the ETC.
3. It is inhibited by cyanide, barbiturates, carbon monoxide, antimycin, etc.
4. Cyanide inhibits complex IV of ETC.
