Solution

Circular motion:

Circular motion is a motion of an object along the circumference of a circle or rotation along a circular path is known as circular motion.

Difference betweeen rotatory motion and circular motion:

Circular Motion Rotatory Motion
1.In circular motion object moves in a circular path1. In a rotatory motion object rotates about an axis
2.In circular motion whole object change its position from one point to another.2.In rotatory motion whole object does not change its position from one point to another.
3.3.

When a body rotates, parts of it be said to follow circular path:

As we know rotatory motion occurs when a body rotates on its own axis and some part of an object follows a circular path. It is given by the following examples:

  1. For example When a person drives a car, the motion of wheels and the motion of steering about its own axis are examples of rotatory motion.
  2. In the above cases some part of the wheel and steering remains at rest while the remaining portion does the circular motion.

Hence, some part of an object follows a circular path in rotatory motion.
