What is a coplanar force?

  1. All forces working in the same plane are referred to as coplanar.
  2. Resultant force is the sum of two forces having same line of action and they act at the same direction.
  3. If the two forces which are acting on a surface does not have a same line of action, the magnitude and direction of the two line of forces can be found using vector addition method.
  4. Triangular and parallelogram method are the two methods used for vector addition.
