Acids $\to$ An acid is a chemical species that donates protons or hydrogen ions and/or accepts electrons.

E.g.- $HCl,H_{2}S{O}_4$, etc.

Properties of acids-

1. pH is less than $7$.
   
2. Turns blue litmus paper to red.
3. Reacts with metal to produce hydrogen gas.
   
4. Sour taste.
