Solution

The correct option is C AND gate
For the given circuit, input A and B become ¯¯¯¯A and ¯¯¯¯B due to NOT gate, and the output Y has one more NOT gate making OR gate output as, ¯¯¯¯Y=¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯A+¯¯¯¯B=AB (AND gate).

So, the equivalent gate of for ¯¯¯¯Y=¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯A+¯¯¯¯B is an AND gate.

Hence (D) is the correct answer.
Why this Question?
Application: The conversion of an OR gate into an AND gate using DeMorgan's law.
