  2. Archaebacteria belong to kingdom Monera and resemble bacteria when viewed under microscope.
  3. Archaebacteria reproduce by asexual mode.
  4. Archaebacteria differ from bacteria in cell structure, this feature is responsible for their survival in extremely harsh conditions.

Habitat:

  1. They live in highly saline, acidic, and anaerobic conditions.
  2. The archaebacteria which live in saline conditions are called halophiles, while archaea that live in marshy areas are called methanogens.
