Dear Student, Cytoplasm is the fluid component of the cell. All the organelles are bathed into it. Main functions of cytoplasm includes-1. Raw materials- The matrix contains raw material and provide the same to cell organelles for their functioning. 2. Exchange- The cell organelles are usually unconnected. They exchange materials through the cytoplasmic matrix. 3. Products- The products of the cell organelles are passed out into the matrix. 4. Catabolic activities- Glycolysis, anaerobic respiration and pentose pathway type of respiration and pentose pathway type of respiration occurs in the matrix of the cytoplasm. Regards
