  1. Peroxides are the compounds that are having Oxygen-Oxygen single bond.
  1. Superoxide is the compounds that is having O2- anion.
2. The charge present on such compound is -2. 2. They represent a charge of -1 on it.
3. As there are single bond present between the Oxygen-Oxygen so the bond length is equal to 1.44A°. 3. In super oxide the bond length is a little shorter than peroxide and is equal to1.33A°.
4. Peroxide compounds are usuallly formed by the alkali metals and Hydrogen (non metal). 4. Superoxide is a compound formed only by metals.
5. Example: H2O2,K2O2,Rb2O2,etc. 5. Example: RbO2,KO2
