What is dynamic process ? Why pollen-pistil interaction is a dynamic process ?

pollen-pistil interaction is not a single step process but it is a constant interaction between pollen-grain and pistil right from when pollen grain lands on stigma till pollen-tube enters the ovule. So this on-going process which can either promote or inhibit the germination of pollen-tube is called dynamic which means a process in-progress.
