Solution

Electrolysis is a process in which an electric current is used to bring about a chemical reaction or a process in which an electrical energy is converted into a chemical energy.
Number of moles of electrons passed
=I(A)×t(s)96500=1.5×10×6096500=0.009326 moles of electrons
Cu2++2eCu
The number of moles of copper deposited =0.0093262=0.004663 moles.
The molar mass of Cu is 63.5 g/mol.
The mass of Cu deposited =0.004663mol×63.5g/mol=0.296g
