Solution

Electrostatic shielding:

Electrostatic shielding is a phenomenon that occurs whenever a Faraday cage is being utilized just to resist the effects of an electric field. The cage is used to prevent the impacts of such an external field from affecting the interior substance.

Applications of electrostatic shielding:

  1. Elevators operate as such an unintentional Faraday cage, shielding signals from smartphones as well as radios.
  2. Electrical lineman employs Faraday cage garments to protect themselves from electrocution.
  3. Metal sheets are being used as a shield to shield electronic equipment entities composed of external electric disruptions.
