  8. Food poisoning symptoms include a variety of the following such as weakness, headache, nausea, and diarrhea.

Food preservation:

  1. Food preservation is the process of treating to prevent or slow food spoilage blocking the loss of quality and nutritional value.
  2. Preservation allows for longer food storage, thus increasing the shelf life of the food by delaying the oxidation of foods.
  3. Preservation inhibits the growth of bacteria, fungi, and other microorganisms.
  4. Preservatives are natural or synthetic chemicals added to foods to prevent them from getting spoiled.
  5. For meat and fish preservation, salt is used as a natural food preservative.
  6. Sugar, alcohol, and vinegar are examples of natural preservatives used to make jams and pickles.
